Judy Reunion!

Summer is always fun with Lane.  There is lots of family, reunions, and camping.  I love that I married a man who loves to be with his family.  Luckily he seems to like mine too!

This year we were in charge of the Doug and Terry Judy reunion.  They say they assigned partners by matching siblings with the same first letter in their name, but really I think they all knew I would need lots of help!  LaDawn was our partner and she rocked everything!  She was organized, fun, and did most of the work!  I had fun getting it all together, but mostly I just loved being with family.

Judge loved being around so many people!  He's trying to join a game of dodge ball in this picture.

Dodge ball with nieces and nephews!

Those of us who did not want to brave the dodge ball game played with the parachute.  Much better choice if you ask me!

SO MANY CARS!

Lane and Christian... I'm not sure I remember what happened here.  I just know that I laughed really hard!

Each family brought a basket to auction off.  Lane modeled with each basket while our nephew, Colton, was the auctioneer.

I love it when we are all together!

We had a blast with the Judy's.  I love living in Idaho and having so much family near by! If only I could get some more Crains out here...

Happy Birthday Laner!

This year was Lane's golden birthday!  He turned 27 on the 27th!  He made me promise not to get him anything, so I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I could do.

One thing Lane loves is cinnamon rolls. In case you don't know me, I don't bake.  Or cook.  Or generally do anything in the kitchen.  I have tried to make him cinnamon rolls twice in our marriage and both times were a complete disaster!  So this year I called Lane's sister, Merrilee, and asked if she would teach me.  She was so nice and let me invite myself to her house for a baking lesson.  Merrilee should start her own cooking show! I was so proud when I walked out of the house with a plate full of perfect cinnamon rolls.  I had lots of fun spending the afternoon talking to an actual adult!  Hopefully Merrilee will let me come back and learn how to make more yummy things!

A few nights before Lane's day, I realized I had not turned in any of my receipts for school this year.  That meant I had some money that Lane wouldn't kill me for spending.  So I bought him the new Wii U!  Lane and I have a weird obsession with Mario so I figured this was a perfect gift!

I think he had a pretty great day.  We went hiking in the morning, ate cinnamon rolls (I still can't believe they turned out without even having to call Merrilee and without a melt down), had dinner at Texas Roadhouse with Jarom, Jared, Brian, and Maddie, and played Mario until his birthday officially ended!

Happy Birthday!

Judge loves hiking!

Birthday breakfast!
Here are a few pictures of Judge.  He's my favorite!
This is how he sleeps... weirdo.

Judge rode with us to SLC to drop my parents at the airport.  He loves going for rides!
The 27th of April is also my Dad's birthday.  I only wish we could be together.  Happy Birthday Dad!
It is also Lane's parent's anniversary!  Happy Anniversary!!

Happy Happy Happy

April brought the Crains and Garners to Idaho!  I LOVE having my family in town.  I can't think of anything better than being with family.  Jared and I had a short break from South Fork and Lane took a few days off from work.  We did what we usually do... eat and laugh!  Shelby and Jon introduced us to Duck Dynasty and that made us happy happy happy!

Fin and Grandpa!

We fit the whole family around the table... maybe we'll do that we the Judys  someday :)

Kaylie and Trent searching for Easter eggs.  We don't get to celebrate Easter together very often so we did it a week late this year!

Fin and Kaylie playing at IJump!

Trent took jumping into the foam pit very seriously!

I think he felt like a super hero...

I think Fin had the most fun... he didn't want to leave!

Jon is SUPER crazy. He ate the WHOLE thing!

Fin was happy with fries.

Trent and Lane showing off a regular sized meal!

At this point I though Jon would quit, but of course he kept going!
The whole family at Big Juds!

We have a spare room off of the garage that we turned into a play room for  the kids.  Jon discovered the old school Nintendo (which made Lane's day)!

Poor Fin got sick... someone always gets sick when we are all together!

Kaylie and Trent's spot at the counter... I couldn't get Trent to smile for me.

Kaylie came to Kindergarten on her last day here.  It was so fun to see her in my classroom.  She's just like Shelby--two seconds in the room and she's friends with everyone!  I just wish she could be there everyday.

I'm already trying to figure out when I will get to see everyone again.  Our time together is never long enough.    Hopefully we'll get to see baby Garner when he/she gets here!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend!  Saturday our nephew Alex was baptized.  I cannot think of a better way to celebrate our Savior than to watch someone so special make such a great choice.  I cannot believe that Alex was only 3 the day  I met him!  I'm so happy we get to have him as an example.

After the baptism, we enjoyed a BBQ at the Taylor's.  Easter egg hunting, food, and potato guns filled with candy--what more could you ask for?!  In the afternoon we went to frisbee golfing (when I say we, I mean Lane).  Frisbee golf is one of Lane's favorite things, so I was happy the weather was so nice.  Lane tries his hardest to beat Tyler and this time he lucked out!  I am sure Tyler will be back soon for a rematch!

Easter day was spent with Jared.  We had a low key day, but enjoyed church, family time together, and of course, the Celtics!

March and April Birthdays!
Alex and me:)
Judge at the BBQ.  I think this was the best day of his life!
They were super tired after frisbee golf and food!
Lane looks so good with a frisbee
The nieces and nephews figured out if they got on the ground, Judge would attack.  He sure loved the game!
Easter Breakfast
Friday was Judge's birthday!  He's a whole year old.  Of course we did not get him until May, but I can't believe how different he looks.  Lane has now taught him to sit, lay down, stand up, and to play hide and seek.  Lane will get him to stay in the living room, run and hide, and then yell for him!  Judge usually can't find him, even though Lane hides in the same spot!

He sleeps like a human now...

This is Judge's favorite chair and blanket!

Judge LOVES going to the school to do work with me.  He knows his way around now.  On this day, Lane was dropping something off  while I still had students.  Judge was not happy he couldn't come in!
Standing, or maybe we should say sitting up
We had some pretty crazy weather this winter!  Lane thought it was fun at first, but a shovel got old fast!  Lucky for us, Lane's parents let us borrow a snow blower.  I am very grateful--it gave me more time with Lane and saved him a ton of work!

This is half way down our driveway!

Lane is also trying to fill up his shop.  So far he has a lawn mower and a utility trailer.

Lane's Shop!
My family begins to arrive this Thursday and I CANNOT wait!  I am so excited to have little kids running around my house.  We will celebrate Easter with the Crains and have tons of fun!

The Crain, Garner, Judy Family!
 HAPPY EASTER!

We're Still Here...

We've had a few great months.  Here's what we have been up to:
  • I moved to a new school out by our house.  I now only teach part time Kindergarten.  That means just one class a day!  I love it and know it was the right decision for our family, even though I miss Kennedy everyday.  When we get to start our family, I will be able to do all the things that I love.
  • We welcomed a new great-nephew here in Rexburg.  I LOVE having Mitch and Beth's families so close.  I can't get enough of those babies.
  • We took a much needed vacation to New Hampshire in October.  I only wish I had pictures to share.  We went apple picking, ate until we were sick, and played lots of games.  We missed Jared, but Lane and I see him everyday so we lucked out!
  • Thanksgiving took us to Oregon.  All I wanted was for Lane to see my childhood holidays.  It was perfect and more than I could have asked for.  My grandparents house will always be my favorite place!
This is my Uncle Barry.  He has the sad birthday of December 2nd...

On Thanksgiving morning we all decided to do the Turkey Stuffer 5K.  Everyone ended up sick, so it was just, Lane, Jon, Mom and me!

Judge figured out how to get up to the food!

This is Fin!  I can't believe he's not going to be the baby anymore.

Shelby and Trent.  This is one of my favorites:)

Lane and I slept on the bottom bunk--with Judge.

Judge took his first trip on an airplane...

My cousin's awesome wife took some family pics for us!
  • On my 26th birthday, one of my closest friends was married in the Rexburg temple.  Cassidy and Everet were sealed for time and all eternity!  I love having Cass so close and it was a great way to spend my birthday!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Wedding Day!

  • My parents came for a visit in January and we had so much fun being together.  My dad had never seen our house, and it was exciting to show off our grown up lives.
  • My sweet sister announced that she is having another baby this fall and I cannot wait to meet him/her. That makes four for Shelby and Jon!
  • Judge is still doing great!  He's full grown now, completely house trained, and spoiled rotten.  He discovered he loves the snow, but hates the rain.  It seems silly to some, but I am grateful to have another living being with me when Lane is off to work.
We are loving living in Lyman.  We enjoy our ward, our jobs, and the friends we have made!  With Easter around the corner we are looking forward to a trip from my family and the baptism of our nephew Alex!
